"Black Leg" Sanji ,born as Vinsmoke Sanji , is the cook of the Pirates of the Straw Hat . He is the fifth member of the crew and the fourth to join it, at the end of the Arc of Baratia . Born as the third son and fourth child of the Vinsmoke family (making him a prince of the kingdom of Germa ), he disowned his family twice, once as a young man and again after reuniting them as an adult. After running away from the Vinsmoke as a child, he was eventually entrusted to the care of Zeff in as the underboss of the Baratie, where he remained until he met Luffy, who convinced him to join his crew.
