History of Bleach anime:

The story begins in 2001 in Japan, in the fictional town of Karakura. Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old high-school student, has been able to see, hear and touch the souls of the dead since he was a child. One evening, his daily routine is turned upside down when he meets a shinigami, Rukia Kuchiki, and the arrival of a monster called hollow. The latter having come to devour his family's souls, and the shinigami who had come to protect him having been injured by it, Ichigo agrees to become a shinigami himself in order to save them.

However, the transfer of power, supposed to be temporary and partial, is complete and never ends. Ichigo is forced to take responsibility for Rukia Kuchiki's task. So he begins the hunt for hollows while protecting human souls.

The beginning is centered on a relatively weak hunt for evil spirits, with a simple sword. The story gradually moves towards a vast mystico-political plot after the appearance of the first other shinigamis. The saber battles of the beginning are then transformed into Dantesque battles with weapons of surprising and varied powers, and sometimes of gigantic proportions.
