⛩ Retsu Unohana, formerly known as Yachiru Unohana was the 4th Captain of the 13 Divisions and is considered one of Soul Society's finest caregivers. Part of the 1st generation of 13 Captains alongside Yamamoto, she was Captain of the 11th Division as well as the first to hold the title of "Kenpachi".

Unohana has a gentle, warm personality that enhances her appearance. She has a soft, polite voice which she uses when addressing everyone, including subordinates and enemies. She rarely shows signs of panic and never any sign of anger, and has a great sense of duty, shown in her time commanding Hanatarō Yamada. However, she is not to be taken lightly. Despite her gentle nature, many members of the Eleventh Division (ep. 61) and even several other captains generally fear her. What's more, she has great powers of persuasion, and even Captain Zaraki doesn't dare go against her decisions! For this reason, not even Jushiro Ukitake and Shunsui Kyôraku dare anger her.
