Sanji Vinsmoke, nicknamed Sanji the Black Leg, is the cook of the Straw Hat Crew. Sanji learned the culinary arts on the Baratie, a floating restaurant owned by Redfoot Zeff, a former pirate. He is the fifth member of the crew and the third to accept Luffy's invitation. He is the first member of the crew who is not from East Blue.

He will remain anonymous for a long time before making himself known to the world under the name of Sanji the Black Leg after the events of Enies Lobby, which will unfortunately push his family to go after him.
