⛩ Kuzan, better known as Aokiji was one of the original Three Admirals of the Navy. He was previously one of the Vice-Admirals during Ohara's Buster Call, during which he saved Nico Robin. He is commonly known as Aokiji "the Blue Pheasant".
He was a candidate for the position of Chief Admiral, but following his defeat by Admiral Akainu at Punk Hazard, who also coveted the post, he left the Navy.
After the ellipsis, he made a comeback at the end of the Punk Hazard arc by preventing Doflamingo from killing Smoker. Later, we learn that he decided to join forces with Blackbeard's Crew.
Aokiji was a Navy Admiral, and not just any Admiral: he was able to stand up to Akainu, the Navy's Chief Admiral, making him one of the most powerful characters in the world.
