⛩ Monkey D. Garp alias "The Hero of the Navy" or "Garp the Hero" is an ex-Vice Admiral of the Navyand is now an instructor. He is the man in charge of training for Kobby and Hermep. He was one of the major figures along with Sengoku and Whitebeard during the era of "Gol D. Roger" era, but he was already considered a hero before that era. He is the father of Monkey D. Dragon, the grandfather of Monkey D. Luffy and the adopted grandfather of Portgas D. Ace. Having a D in his first & last name, he is attached to the will of the D like some other characters. With the help of Gol D. Roger, he defeated Rock's crew which earned him the title "Hero of the Navy."
