⛩ Gaara is a ninja from the Hidden Sand Village (Suna). He is also the youngest child of the Fourth Kazekage, the younger brother of Kankurō and Temari. He was the third Jinchūriki of Shukaku, thus becoming a weapon for Suna, earning the nickname "Gaara of the Desert." Although Gaara was a major antagonist in the Naruto manga, he eventually became one of the main protagonists as the story progressed.
In Part II, he became the Fifth Kazekage, as well as the Commander-in-Chief and general of the fourth division of the Shinobi Alliance during the Fourth Great Ninja War.
The loneliness, hatred, and sadness made him who he is today. In his youth, he considered Naruto as his rival but quickly became one of his best friends. Just like Naruto, he possessed one of the nine Bijus (Tailed Beasts), that of Shukaku of the Sand element. Gaara, the son of the Sand, like his mother and father, controls sand and gold dust.
