The Elusive Samurai

The year 1333 marks a volatile period for the Japanese archipelago. The Hōjō clan, rulers of the Kamakura shogunate, begins to crumble under the constant pressure of opposing forces. Tokiyuki Hōjō, the young heir barely eight years old, lives a sheltered and carefree noble life until the traitor Ashikaga Takauji unleashes a devastating surprise strike.

In a single night of relentless violence, Tokiyuki’s entire family is annihilated by merciless blades. The young aristocrat survives the slaughter thanks only to his remarkable gift: an extraordinary ability for evasion and stealth. Saved at the last moment by the mysterious warrior monk Yorishige Suwa, Tokiyuki soon learns that destiny has chosen him for a mission that appears nearly impossible.

Yorishige presents the young prince with an ancient prophecy stating that he is fated to rise as a legendary hero and reclaim Kamakura from Ashikaga’s control. To succeed, Tokiyuki must refine his evasive techniques, transform his apparent weakness into a powerful asset, and gather exceptional allies who will stand beside him.
