Jin-Woo received his Double Awakening after surviving the Cartenon Temple and completing the secret quest "Courage of the Weak." The mysterious system, in addition to unlocking a variant of the Double Awakening for him, allowed Jin-Woo to level up without limit and increase his strength, unlike other Hunters, who are unable to increase their strength in the same way as him.
He is the master and founder of the Ahjin Guild, which he created alongside Yoo Jin-Ho to ensure optimal progress in Dungeon conquest.
Appearance
Before his awakening, he was an average-sized young boy with grey eyes and black hair in a medium-length hairstyle. Of a fragile build, and although considered stronger than an ordinary human, he was the weakest among the hunters. Before the D-rank dungeon incident, he wore a grey hoodie, a brown tank top, and blue jeans.

Personality
Jin-Woo is a humble and kind-hearted person who deeply cares for his family and has a strong thirst for power. As a result, he is very close to his sister and mother, and rarely misses an opportunity to become stronger.
It is worth noting that although he is the strongest Hunter in the world, Jin-Woo is not particularly arrogant and is both polite and easy-going.
He is also generally indifferent to materialistic desires and can be very altruistic, as when he teleported to Jeju Island without hesitation to save other S-rank Korean Hunters from certain death. In battle, however, he is ruthless, slaughtering his enemies indiscriminately, and even in a somewhat disdainful manner, as when he mocked the Ant King by calling him a "mere insect" to his face, or when he ridiculed the architect for the flaws in the 'system'.
On the other hand, when he was weak, Jin-Woo was very shy and insecure due to his incompetence as a Hunter and his troubled family situation. Although he deeply cared for his family and spent years risking his life on raids to provide for them, he secretly felt ashamed of his situation, as shown when he lied to Joo-Hee about the reason he had taken up hunting as his job.
History
Sung Jin-Woo is the older brother of Jin-Ah, his sister, and the son of Sung Il-Hwan and his mother Kyung-H. When he was only 14 years old, his father, Il-Hwan, disappeared after entering an unknown portal, vanishing completely, and was presumed dead. It was then that Jin-Woo became the man of the house and swore to take care of his mother and sister. A few years later, Jin-Woo's mother fell victim to the Eternal Sleep disease, which leaves the victim in a comatose state, leaving Jin-Woo and Jin-Ah alone for the next 4 years. To ensure food and shelter for his sister and himself, he was forced to work, which is how Jin-Woo started his career as an E-rank Hunter, affiliated with the Korean Hunter Association.
Fighting a daily battle between life and death as he embarked on dungeon explorations of his level, he never allowed himself to be discouraged, simply because he had to keep the promise he made to his mother, which was to take care of his younger sister, Jin-Ah. One day, after entering a D-rank dungeon alongside mission leader Song Chi-Yul, Jin-Woo stumbled upon the double dungeon. After narrowly escaping death, he wakes up in a hospital bed, thinking that everything that had just happened was a dream, only to realise that it wasn't. After regaining his memory, he recalls moments leading up to his final moments, and that’s when he understood that a higher force called the "System" had imposed a choice upon him, which Jin-Woo accepted, thus becoming a "Player."
Family
Park Kyung-Hye (Mother)
Jin-Woo has a very loving relationship with his mother and has risked his life countless times to pay her hospital bills during the four years she was in a coma. Her illness was the main reason he became a Hunter in the first place, as he hoped to find something in the dungeons that could cure her of the Eternal Sleep. When he finally succeeded with the Holy Water of Life and she woke up in perfect health, Jin-Woo was so relieved to see her awake that he lost his composure and began to sob right in front of her.
After Kyung-Hye was cured, Jin-Woo decided to take care of her to ensure she was physically well and ready to sit out the Jeju Island raid for him to do so. After the raid ended, however, Jin-Woo told his mother how he had changed since she had woken up, and she agreed that he could continue being a Hunter as long as he didn’t push himself too hard, which he accepted.

Sung Jin-Ah (Sister)
Jin-Woo and Jin-Ah have a somewhat typical sibling relationship, with both of them frequently teasing and bickering. While Jin-Woo was forced to take on the role of the family breadwinner after their mother fell into a coma, Jin-Ah is very close to him and deeply cares for his well-being, as shown when she scolded him after he nearly died in the Double Dungeon. In return, Jin-Woo is very protective of Jin-Ah and is extremely brutal towards those who try to harm her, as shown when he violently slaughtered a group of orcs who attempted to kill her and her classmates. Jin-Woo's protection of his sister also extends to career choices when, upon the request of her teacher, he firmly opposed the idea of Jin-Ah becoming a Hunter.
Cha Hae-in (Wife)
At the very beginning, Cha’s relationship with Jin-Woo was very one-sided; while he thought little of her, she was deeply interested in him due to the fact that he was the first Hunter she had ever met who smelled good. Eventually, Cha developed romantic feelings for Jin-Woo, and these feelings became serious enough for her to lose her composure in front of him whenever he teased her.
In time, Jin-Woo warmed to Cha, and their romantic feelings became mutual, with the two of them going on their first date shortly after an S-Rank gate appeared in Seoul. After Jin-Woo used the Reincarnation Cup and reset the timeline, he made it a point to reintroduce himself to her. From there, their relationship would develop, and they would eventually marry and have a son, Sung Suho.
