Appearance
Stone Free is a humanoid Stand possessing a build and height similar to Jolyne herself.
It wears a pair of sunglasses with vertically ridged lenses that vary in shade. Four distinct blades run across its head, stretching from the jawline to the back of the neck and crossing over the eyes. Small conical shapes, roughly one-third the size of its head, serve as its ears.
The Stand features small shoulder pads with a subtle snakeskin pattern and hexagonal kneepads. Fibrous, horizontally coiled sections are visible through shaded areas of its body, revealing its unique string-based composition. Small, evenly spaced bumps adorn its forehead, neck, arms, and torso down to its feet.
Constructed entirely of yarn, its texture is as smooth as silk when unraveled and reportedly carries a soap-like scent. Notably, it shares the iconic "ORA ORA" battle cry with Star Platinum, the Stand of Jolyne's father.
While the yarn itself is white, Stone Free is most commonly depicted in a vibrant cyan hue.

Abilities
Stone Free is a unique short-range Stand that offers Jolyne incredible combat utility and versatility. Much like Star Platinum, Stone Free possesses immense speed and power, making it a devastating force in close-quarters combat. However, its ability to manipulate thread provides a level of tactical flexibility that sets it apart.
When the Stand's threads are tightly compacted, its physical strength is maximized. The force behind its punches is said to be equivalent to the impact of a small, hyper-fast meteorite. It also possesses the reflexes required to deflect multiple incoming bullets with ease.
String Decomposition
Stone Free grants Jolyne the ability to unravel her own body into long strands of wire, typically beginning with her hands, which she can then control at will.
This thread is invisible to non-Stand users and is incredibly sharp—capable of slicing through flesh when pulled with sufficient tension. While a single strand is not exceptionally strong and can break if overstretched, Jolyne can weave multiple threads together to create a much more durable rope. This precision allows her to snatch small objects or even contract and expand the strands like muscle fibers to manipulate her grip strength.
By gathering her threads, Jolyne can manifest Stone Free’s humanoid form, though its effective combat range in this state is limited to about 2 meters. Because it is made of thread, the Stand itself can be unraveled to avoid damage or reach distant targets.
Jolyne can safely unravel up to 70% of her physical body and reconstitute herself almost instantly. This allows her to hide in incredibly tight spaces, such as inside a person's mouth. She often employs risky strategies, such as cutting her own threads to trap opponents. At 70% unraveling, her maximum reach extends to approximately 24 meters.
Jolyne uses these threads to perform a wide variety of tactical maneuvers:
- Eavesdropping on distant conversations by detecting sound vibrations, similar to a string telephone.
- Lacerating enemies with razor-sharp wire.
- Pickpocketing small items.
- Weaving defensive nets strong enough to catch bullets.
- Capturing enemies in large, complex webs.
- Restraining or suffocating targets from a distance.
- Suturing her own wounds in the heat of battle.
- Setting "wire barriers" to detect movement within a large area.
- Creating intricate patterns, even reproducing a person's portrait with string.
- Swinging through environments for rapid mobility.
- Countering C-Moon’s gravitational inversion by transforming affected body parts into Mobius strips.

- The first katakana characters for "Stone" and "Free" (ス and フ) are identical to the starting characters used for "Star" and "Platinum" in Japanese, subtly linking Jolyne's Stand to her father's.
