Shuichi Iguchi (Spinner)
Shuichi Iguchi, famously known as Spinner, is a villain who joined the League of Villains alongside Himiko Toga and Dabi. He was driven by a deep devotion to Stain’s ideology, a philosophy he respects above all else.
Following the Revival Celebration, the League of Villains merged with the Meta Liberation Army to form the powerful Paranormal Liberation Front, where Spinner rose to the rank of one of the nine high-ranking Officers.

Appearance
Spinner possesses a distinct reptilian physiology, characterized by bright green scales and a lizard-like facial structure. His long, vibrant pinkish-purple hair is swept back, providing a sharp contrast to his green skin.
Out of pure admiration for the Hero Killer, he models his attire after Stain: wearing a sleeveless shirt, dark baggy trousers, and pale metallic knee guards. His signature look includes a mask made from a tattered strip of cloth—identical to Stain's—along with a red scarf and bandages wrapped around his forearms. He typically carries a massive, makeshift sword on his back composed of several smaller blades bound together, and he is often seen with goggles resting on his forehead.
Personality
Spinner can be quite ruthless, as demonstrated during his assault on the Pussycats, where he took pleasure in pinning an unconscious Pixie-Bob to the ground.
While he shares Dabi’s reverence for Stain, Spinner’s devotion is more literal. He is so obsessed with the Hero Killer that he mimics his aesthetic and weaponry entirely. Interestingly, Spinner possesses a stronger moral compass than most of his peers; he once protected Izuku Midoriya from Magne, simply because Stain had deemed the boy a "true hero." Despite his hardened exterior, he is easily flustered by compliments from women.
Background
Growing up with a heteromorph Quirk, Shuichi Iguchi was a frequent target of prejudice and systemic racism. Living in a community that viewed him as a monster, he initially succumbed to a sense of nihilistic emptiness. This changed when he saw Stain’s message on television; the Hero Killer’s conviction gave him a new sense of purpose and a burning desire to dismantle the current societal structure.
Chronology
Stain Arc
Shortly after Stain's imprisonment, Spinner is seen preparing to take up the Hero Killer's mantle, donning his mask and adopting his resolve.
Forest Training Camp Arc
As part of the Vanguard Action Squad, Spinner participates in the ambush on U.A.'s summer training camp. He is first spotted alongside Magne, standing over the defeated Pixie-Bob.
During the confrontation, Spinner formally introduces the Vanguard Action Squad. He clashes with the Pussycats and Tenya Iida, whom he recognizes as a participant in Stain’s downfall. Spinner declares himself the one to fulfill Stain’s legacy, wielding his massive sword against Mandalay.
However, Mandalay manages to distract him by using her Quirk to send him flattery, catching him off guard. The fight is interrupted when Midoriya arrives to deliver a warning. In a surprising turn, Spinner prevents Magne from attacking Midoriya, citing that Stain considered the boy a true hero. This distraction allows Mandalay to land a heavy blow on him. Eventually, as the heroes close in, Kurogiri teleports Spinner and the others back to their base.
Hideout Raid Arc
While the League holds Katsuki Bakugo captive, Spinner listens as Shigaraki critiques the hypocrisy of hero society. Spinner agrees, pointing out that many heroes prioritize fame and money over genuine altruism. When U.A. issues a public apology, the League attempts to recruit Bakugo, claiming they are all victims of societal discrimination.
The recruitment attempt is cut short by the sudden arrival of All Might and the Pro Heroes. Though Spinner is initially restrained by Kamui Woods, a chaotic battle ensues when All For One intervenes, forcibly teleporting the League members to a secondary location to escape the authorities.
Following the rescue of Bakugo by his classmates, Spinner and the League attempt a final counter-attack, but they are overwhelmed by Gran Torino. Eventually, All For One uses a forced activation of Kurogiri's Quirk to pull Spinner and the remaining League members into safety through a portal.
Shie Hassaikai Arc
Seeking revenge against Overhaul for his disrespect and the death of Magne, the League intercepts the police convoy transporting the Yakuza leader. Spinner serves as the getaway driver, though Dabi mockingly criticizes his skills—to which Spinner retorts that he learned to drive through games like Grand Theft Auto.
As they execute the plan, Spinner continues to question if their path truly aligns with Stain’s mission. Shigaraki assures him that their actions are a necessary step toward their goals. The group successfully robs Overhaul of his Quirk-erasing drug before vanishing into the night.
