Ochaco Uraraka
Ochaco Uraraka is one of the main protagonists in the manga My Hero Academia. She is a student at Yuei and a member of Class 1-A. She aims to become a Pro Hero in order to earn money and provide a more comfortable life for her parents.

Appearance
Ochaco has chestnut brown hair that reaches her shoulders, with large hazel eyes. She has two long bangs on either side of her round face, and a bob cut at the back. She has small pads on each of her fingers, which she uses to activate her Alter.
Hero Costume
Ochaco wears a tight-fitting black and light pink long-sleeve suit. Her costume is equipped with a helmet designed to protect the semicircular canals of her inner ear, and two bracelets containing pressure devices, similar to a blood pressure cuff. She also has a collar that stimulates acupuncture points at the base of her skull to relieve migraines, along with thick boots. The boot design helps absorb impact during landings, featuring shock-absorbing cushioning in the soles. Additionally, the heels have reinforced springs.
During the Hero Internships, Ochaco’s costume receives an upgrade. Her waist belt is modified. Her arm gauntlets now have extended rings on the sides, making them capable of shooting grappling hooks. She no longer has a glass visor covering her face, and the design of her helmet is redefined.

Personality
Ochaco is kind and friendly to those she meets, always willing to help those who have helped her before. Due to her cheerful and upbeat nature, she is easily excited or surprised by small things and tends to lose her composure quickly. Her reactions are often exaggerated and humorous.
At times, Uraraka takes on a highly determined and somewhat intimidating attitude, which can catch her classmates off guard. This trait tends to surface during combat situations, where she demonstrates a strategic mind. She dislikes being underestimated. Ochaco’s main source of motivation to become a Pro Hero is her parents, as she wants to provide them with a better life. She is also very honest about her goals, openly admitting that she wants to become a Pro Hero to earn money, even if she struggles to admit it out loud.
Ochaco shows a preference for rescue missions as a future Pro Hero. She is a big fan of the hero Number 13. She is also aware of her own physical limits, choosing Gun Head ("The Fighting Hero") for her Field Training to learn martial arts.
History
Living in the countryside, she dreams of becoming a hero to provide a comfortable life for her parents with her salary, though they prefer that she live her own life rather than take care of them.
Abilities and Skills
Her Zero Gravity quirk allows her to remove the weight of anything she touches using the pads on her fingers, whether it’s an object or even a person. Thanks to this power, she once stopped Izuku Midoriya from tripping at the entrance of the academy. However, using her quirk too much causes nausea and often leads to vomiting. Throughout the story, she learns to briefly float herself for short periods.

Relationships
Izuku Midoriya
Ochaco seems closest to Izuku, holding immense respect for him and having great trust in his judgment and decisions. In return, Izuku also has strong trust in Ochaco and enjoys her company. He even harbors feelings for her. Their friendship began after Izuku saved Ochaco during the Entrance Exam.
During the Midterm Exam, Yuga Aoyama asked Ochaco if she was in love with Izuku, to which she blushed in response. Due to her uncertainties about her feelings, she tends to overreact and shy away from Izuku when they are alone together. After the Provisional License Exam, Ochaco decides to focus on her future as a Hero rather than her feelings for Izuku.
Tenya Iida
As both are close friends of Izuku, they quickly become friends themselves. They get along very well and often find themselves in complicated situations together.
Mei Hatsume
Ochaco has a somewhat strained relationship with Mei due to Mei’s bluntness. She felt slightly jealous when Izuku complimented Mei’s gadgets and was annoyed when Mei touched Izuku’s body "to inspect the merchandise." Upon learning that Mei made new gauntlets for Izuku, Ochaco looks visibly saddened and disturbed.
Himiko Toga
Himiko is part of the League of Villains, making them enemies. During their encounter, Himiko attempts to attack Ochaco and Tsuyu. Himiko cheerfully calls them her "friends." Toga manages to hit a nerve when she realizes that Ochaco has feelings for someone.
Katsuki Bakugo
Initially, Katsuki, who sees himself as the sole 'main character' of Class 1-A, doesn’t recognize Ochaco during their match. He is disinterested at first and plans to quickly defeat her before discovering her strategy (to gain his attention and produce projectiles she can later use). Once he realizes she is not weak and could prove her strength by facing him, Bakugo puts in full effort and wins the fight. Though heavily criticized by the crowd for his lack of restraint, Aizawa defends that Bakugo gave it his all because he respected Ochaco. Upon returning to the stands, some students comment on his lack of restraint against "a fragile girl," and Katsuki sneers, mocking, "Fragile? Give me a break." This shows that he recognizes Ochaco’s fighting strength. He nicknames her 'Egghead' due to her round face.
