Kyou Kai
Kyou Kai is a brilliant 5,000-man commander and the primary lieutenant of the Hi Shin Army. A former member of the legendary Shiyuu clan—an ancient lineage of elite assassins—she fled her tribe at age 13 to avenge her sister, Kyou Shou. After successfully taking her revenge against the treacherous Yuu Ren, Kyou Kai found a new family within the Hi Shin Unit. She has since dedicated her life to a new, ambitious dream: becoming one of the Great Generals of Qin.

Appearance
Kyou Kai first appeared as a petite 13-year-old girl with striking, large jade-green eyes and shoulder-length hair. She often ties her hair back in a ponytail with a ribbon, allowing two distinct strands to frame her face. Her most iconic feature is her jade and ruby-encrusted Chinese Jian sword, Ryoku Sui, which she carries on her back. Following a two-year time jump, she matured significantly, gaining a more refined beauty while retaining her signature white scarf and red-and-white robes. Her white headband, marked with two red symbols of her tribe, remains a permanent fixture of her warrior attire.
Personality
Naturally reserved, Kyou Kai speaks only when necessary, often offering profound tactical advice. Though initially viewed as a "monster" due to her inhuman swordsmanship, she eventually warmed to her comrades in the Hi Shin Unit. She possesses a fierce moral compass, despising those who commit senseless atrocities. Despite her lethal skills, she has a humorous, sheltered side; having been raised in an isolated assassin clan, she originally had no understanding of social norms—including a famous misconception about how babies are born!
Abilities and Martial Prowess
Kyou Kai is widely considered a generational talent, possessing the same "martial light" as the legendary Six Great Generals of Qin.
Physical Capabilities
- Master Swordsman: Her skills are described as "transcending humanity." She can effortlessly cleave through multiple armored opponents in a single stroke and maintains such perfect control that she can shred a target's clothing without drawing a single drop of blood.
- Immense Agility & Strength: Despite her small frame, she is a physical powerhouse. She once beat Shin in an arm-wrestling match and can move at speeds that make her invisible to the naked eye.
- Chi Manipulation & Priestess Dance: Through specialized breathing techniques, she enters a "dance" that slows her perception of time, allowing her to strike with god-like precision. Her mastery allowed her to survive the "Deepest Dive," a mental state that usually results in death for other Shiyuu.
- Master Healer: Trained in clan medicine, she can concoct salves that drastically accelerate healing and use her Chi to stabilize the dying.
Tactical Genius
Kyou Kai is a rare "hybrid" commander, possessing both overwhelming individual strength and a sharp tactical mind. Before the arrival of Ka Ryo Ten, she served as the unit's primary strategist. She famously countered the legendary General Gen Pou’s sound-based tactics and was the first to decipher General Ou Sen’s complex "Locust" strategy during the Gyou campaign.
