Innocent Zero
Innocent Zero, whose real name is Cyril Marcus, is the main antagonist in both the Arc of the Examination to become a Divine Visionary and the Eclipse Arc. He also plays this role throughout the series. He is a powerful dark wizard, the leader of the criminal organization bearing his name, and a highly ambitious individual determined to conquer the world and attain absolute power. He is one of the three apprentices of Adam Jobs, as well as the father of the Demonic Quintuplets and Mash Burnedead.

Appearance
Innocent Zero has the ability to alter his appearance at will through unknown means. His default appearance is that of a faceless humanoid. However, he can also take on the appearance of his former self, as he demonstrated during his battle against Wahlberg Baigan.
Human Form
In his human form, Innocent Zero appears as a charming young man with long silver hair, red eyes, and two markings beneath his left eye, resembling the hands of a clock.
Demonic Form
In his demonic form, his appearance is similar to his human form, but with purple skin, a more muscular build, and elongated ears. His eyes turn black with white pupils, and he possesses long horns, five eyes on his chest, and black feathered wings.
Perfected Form
In his perfected form, Innocent Zero becomes a faceless humanoid, entirely devoid of distinct features, aside from his black eyes and a mouth. He is accompanied by four wing-like appendages pierced with holes and a gear-shaped halo hovering above his head.
Personality
Innocent Zero is extremely narcissistic and selfish, believing that everyone exists solely to serve him. His ultimate goal is to absorb Mash Burnedead to become the "Perfect Human." Despite his arrogance, he also exhibits a dry sense of humor similar to Mash's.
Drunk on his own power, he views himself as the "winner" of life, believing himself superior and looking down on others he deems useless. However, when cornered, his arrogance gives way to deep bitterness and destructive rage.
Despite his numerous crimes, Innocent Zero shows fleeting moments of humanity. After his defeat, when Mash asks him to repair the destruction he caused, he reluctantly agrees, though he claims to have done it out of disinterest rather than genuine goodwill.
History
Youth
In his youth, Innocent Zero was a student of Adam Jobs, alongside Wahlberg Baigan and Meliadoul Amy. He was affiliated with the Lang dormitory.
Lupus Magia Arc
Upon Cell War’s return from the Easton Magic Academy, Innocent Zero commands him to retrieve Mash Burnedead, whom he considers his possession.
Divine Visionary Selection Arc
Innocent Zero personally intervenes to capture Mash Burnedead. He attacks the academy accompanied by his minions, but he is confronted by Wahlberg Baigan. A fierce battle ensues between the two former apprentices of Adam Jobs, during which Innocent Zero showcases the full extent of his magical power, primarily based on time control.
Equipment
IZ Wand
Innocent Zero’s wand resembles a clock hand. It allows him to cast his unique magic, Timez. This wand is destroyed during his final battle against Mash Burnedead.
Wand of Beginnings
He also wields the Wand of Beginnings, an immensely powerful artifact capable of casting destructive spells, such as summoning giant black orbs.
Magic and Powers
Timez is Innocent Zero’s personal magic, which grants him the ability to manipulate time in various ways:
- Stop Time: Allows him and his targets to move freely while time is frozen.
- Reverse Time: Reverses past actions, undoing them.
- Accelerated Aging: Rapidly ages any living being who comes into contact with him, sometimes by hundreds of years.
Specific Spells
- Timez Unmove: Freezes time around him.
- Timez Rewound: Speeds up time around an object or person, causing their deterioration.
- Timez Arrow Rain: Summons clock-shaped needles to attack his enemies.
- Timez Snakes: Creates giant serpents imbued with temporal magic.
