Finn Ames is one of the main characters in the series Mashle. He is a first-year student at Easton Magic Academy, the roommate of Mash Burnedead, and the younger brother of Rayne Ames.

Appearance of Finn Ames:
Finn has a medium build with slender legs. His black hair is marked by a yellow streak on the left side of his fringe. His magical mark appears on his right cheek, in the form of a straight line running from his eye to his jaw.
He is often seen wearing two different outfits:
- At Easton Magic Academy: he wears the standard robe of house Adler.
- Outside of school: he favours casual clothing, consisting of a shirt, waistcoat, and trousers.
Finn Ames’ Personality
Finn often plays the role of the rational observer in the face of the strange behaviour of other characters. Though he is easily frightened and somewhat cowardly, he is extremely loyal to his friends and cares deeply for them. He is willing to go to great lengths to protect those he loves.
Examples of His Loyalty:
During the Divine Visionary Selection Exam arc, Finn endured attacks from Carpaccio Luo-Yang to protect the crystal that would allow Mash to progress in the exam. Furthermore, Finn is a reserved student who aspires to a peaceful school life, as shown in his initial interactions with Mash.
Finn Ames’ Story
Past:
At the beginning of his time at Easton Magic Academy, Finn considered Mash a troublemaker and tried to avoid him. However, after discovering they shared the same room, he gradually grew closer to him.
Easton Enrollment Arc:
During a lesson on opening spells, Mash caused a scene, leading Finn to view him as someone to avoid. However, their relationship evolved once they started living together. Mash impressed Finn, in particular, by breaking a world record during a flying lesson.

The Secondth of Changeas summons a butterfly-shaped entity capable of healing and sharing Finn’s magic with its targets.
- Sanitatem: A technique that summons magical butterflies to heal a target and share magical energy.
- Quientus: A basic spell that calms and silences a designated target.

With Rayne Ames:
Rayne, his older brother, adopts a distant attitude towards Finn to protect him from the dangers associated with his role as a Divine Visionary. Despite this distance, Rayne considers Finn the most important person to him.
With Mash Burnedead:
Mash is Finn's first best friend. Their friendship strengthens through mutual acts of protection and support.
