Ashiro Mina

Personality

Mina is a serious and determined woman who takes her role in the Defence Force very seriously. She strives to fulfil the promise made in her childhood to defeat all the kaijus, to the point of dedicating herself entirely to fighting these monsters. Despite her professional demeanor, she has a soft spot for Kafka Hibino: although she is disappointed that he did not keep his promise to stay by her side, she recalls their friendship fondly and wishes to see him succeed in the Defence Force, even after learning that he is Kaiju No. 8.

Beneath her tough exterior, Mina shows her true face as a caring person who does her best to ensure no one is injured during a fight and to keep everyone safe. She also shows gratitude towards her subordinates, congratulating them for their help whenever possible and recognising each individual's value. However, these traits also contribute to a deep fear of failure within her. In her mind, any mistake would invalidate the sacrifices of her comrades and betray the trust civilians have in her. Although this mindset is unhealthy, it is also what drives her to excel in combat.

Powers and Abilities

General Abilities: Mina is the captain of the Third Division of the Defence Force, known as the "strongest" female captain in the Defence Force, where she has neutralised hundreds of kaijus throughout her career. She has demonstrated the power necessary to easily crush giant kaijus with just a few shots. According to Director General Keiji Itami, against the giant kaijus, Mina is stronger than Gen Narumi, further stating that she is the only person in the world capable of wielding larger weapons as effectively. Itami even theorised that, against Kaiju No. 6 ten years ago, the damage could have been reduced by a third if Mina had been active at the time.

Mina's incredible power was recognised from her very first mission with the Third Division. Director General Isao Shinomiya, after discovering her power, even declared that she was "the missing link" and that she would forever change the way kaijus are neutralised. Even an enemy like Kaiju No. 9 recognises and admires Mina's strength, wishing to take her on to become stronger.

Powers

High Unleashed Combat Power: As the captain of the Defence Force, Mina is capable of using a significant portion of her combat suit's power. Her maximum unleashed combat power is 96%.

Accrued Strength: Mina possesses incredible physical strength, as demonstrated when she easily carries her large cannon in battle with dexterity.

Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Mina is incredibly fast and agile, capable of moving gracefully across the battlefield while dodging multiple attacks from an enhanced Kaiju No. 9.

Skills

Elite Sharpshooter: Mina is a high-calibre sharpshooter, known as "The Super-Giant Killer of the Defence Force" due to her extraordinary shooting skills and mastery of her personal cannon. Her shots also possess immense power, as shown when she easily defeated a large kaiju. Mina can also rely on her tiger, Bakko, to stabilise her, thus increasing her accuracy to precisely target specific parts of a kaiju's body.

Mina's sharpshooting skills even surpass those of Gen Narumi, considered "the strongest anti-kaiju fighter in Japan."

Leadership Skills: As the captain of the Third Division, Mina has demonstrated excellent leadership abilities.

Combat Suit: Mina wears a standard combat suit from the Defence Force on the battlefield.

Respiratory Mask: Like many other officers, Mina wears a respiratory mask in combat.

Rifle: When not using her cannon, Mina uses a rifle on the battlefield.

Pistol: Mina also carries a pistol on her belt.

Visor: When using her cannon, Mina wears a visor that enhances her vision and helps her analyse distant targets.

Cannon: Marked T-25101985 and supplied by Izumo Tech, Mina's cannon, in conjunction with her immense strength unleashed through firearms, is a powerful weapon capable of severely damaging or killing daikaiju-level targets with just a few shots. Unfortunately, she can only carry a limited amount of ammunition and can load up to 5 rounds at a time.

Anti-Giant Kaiju Railgun (対大型怪獣固定電磁砲, Tai Ōgata-Kaijū Rēru Gan): Mina's new weapon, specially designed for her abilities. A giant cannon that allows her to instantly kill Daikaiju-level monsters even at a distance of 20 kilometres.
